Multiplayer is possible whenever a non-NPC ship is encountered. Battling can be done nearly anywhere except at landing/docking stations. Chatting can be done by hailing, typing text, and pressing [Enter].
However, the options are a bit more limited on HullBreach Online Lite.
On HB Online Lite, it does that. You'll want to click "Players" and the player's name. And then I think you can chat by typing text and clicking "Hail".
can sum1 help and dont tell me post a thread i did and its gotten zero feedback and im back from being banned for typing stars(*) so if anyone could help and i know there are others with same problem,when u click create ur character and type everything in than click create it wont do anything except let u create yet another character in same slot, ive tried on computer and wii for 3 days straight, and yea i told hullbreach
Im pretty sure you can battle on the Wii version. You can chat by clicking Hail, but there are so few players on the game it is rarely even worth doing.

The game was down for a very long time and pretty much only allowed one to create new characters. However the Lite version is currently fixed.
Do you get to type the chat, or is it random?
Supposed to let you send whatever text you want back and forth, but it is broken.
