Due to a recent change in the verification process, it's easier for bots to make it through, so, beware of newer accounts posting shady links on the BB!
They don't have DS's, they come here to post their spam. I don't know the technical parts of it (like how they find the site) but most of them find the BB sooner or later and post to it, usually in the Website Design section.

If they're sophisticated, they'll just have an array of computers automatically creating accounts and repeatedly sending requests to Paint to post a BB message. What's in these messages can easily be malicious.
Why don't you do that bot puzzle thing when you make an account?
it's hard to make one that works on 3ds/dsi families, so sites like this one and home4dsi use pre-generated "puzzles" (home4dsi uses distorted text images, this site just asks a gaming-related question)
